BIG TEN Conference

The oldest & most tradition-rich Division I conference, the Big Ten was formed in 1896 and known for a couple decades as the Western Conference, until adopting the current moniker in 1916 when Michigan rejoined as the tenth team after a nine year hiatus.

The Big Ten currently exists as a Power Five conference, made up of 14 FBS teams since realignments happening in the early 2010’s.
